A web-TV worth visiting.

SocialCast makes it easy to broadcast and easy to find your way back. Clean, accessible and free of clutter, with the content at the centre and the technology in the background.

Too much video is hidden behind clutter.

Broadcasts and archives from organisations and public bodies often end up behind clunky pages, adverts and boxes to click away before anything even plays. Few find their way there, and even fewer stay.

SocialCast is built to be the opposite. A calm, clean place where broadcasts are easy to find and pleasant to take in. Accessibility, privacy and secure data handling are there from the ground up and handled in the background, so the visitor is met by the content and not by the technology.

It sounds simple, and that's exactly the point. The less that gets in the way, the more of what's broadcast actually gets seen.

Three things we never compromise on.

Transparency

Openness in both platform and content. What's broadcast should be easy to reach, easy to understand and easy to find afterwards, with no obstacles along the way.

Accessibility

Built to WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549. Accessibility is a starting point and not an add-on, so more people can take part in what's broadcast.

Security

Data in Sweden and the EU, with GDPR and security as the foundation. Secure handling is a prerequisite, arranged so it never becomes the visitor's problem.

Behind SocialCast.

SocialCast is developed by Media53 AB and has been created in close partnership with Öppna Kanalen Kronoberg, a non-profit with long experience of broadcasting for the public sector. The platform is developed and operated in Sweden, for Swedish conditions.

The work continues with the same goal: a web-TV that is simple, open and worth returning to.
